The new membership strengthens Lumulus’ commitment to developing high‑performance connectivity solutions for AI, data centers and High Performance Computing, in line with the evolution of PCI Express specifications.
Lumulus Technologies today announced that it has joined PCI-SIG (Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group), the consortium that owns and manages the PCI specifications as open industry standards and defines industry-standard I/O interconnect specifications for leading computing platforms worldwide.
PCI-SIG is responsible for developing and maintaining the PCI Express (PCIe) specifications, the high-speed interconnect technology widely adopted across markets such as artificial intelligence, data centers, networking and High Performance Computing. With approximately 1,000 member companies, the consortium coordinates technical workgroups and compliance initiatives to ensure interoperability, scalability and backward compatibility among PCIe-based devices and systems.
As a PCI-SIG member, Lumulus Technologies gains access to the latest PCIe specifications and technical resources, along with the opportunity to participate in Technical Work Groups, Developers Conferences and Compliance Workshops, and to actively contribute to future generations of the standard.
This membership strengthens the company’s technology roadmap in high-speed interconnects for AI, machine learning, data center and HPC applications. Our first product will be focused on PCIe 5, with an eye to the future with PCIe 6 as well as emerging PCIe 7.0 and upcoming PCIe 8.0 specifications being designed to address increasing bandwidth and low-latency requirements.
